Finishing "Dry," starting "For the Love of Friends."
Like a duck in the water, Hup has a lot happening below the surface.
We are in the final stretch of editing Dry, a comedy short starring and directed by Cara Consilvio. Dry offered us another opportunity to work with past Hup collaborators Greg Emetaz, Julie Finefrock, Lauren Gismondi and Jesse Kennedy.
Our short follows Jenny (Cara Consilvio) as she drives to an ominous suburban house to meet Charlotte, (Julie Finefrock) a woman whose home business requires a password to enter.
We worked with so many talented people on Dry. We can’t wait to start its festival run.
In 1986, Brent Nicholson Earle ran around the perimeter of the United States to alert the country about the AIDS crisis that was devastating his community. For the Love of Friends is Brent’s story about the friends who motivated his run and his continued activism as a leader and survivor.
We are thrilled to work with Executive Producers Barbara Martinez and David Charner, whose passion for this story and its subject make this film possible.
